After editing a thread starter, the original post disappears until I refresh the page

I'm not sure if whether this applies to all posts or just the thread starter.

When I'm just creating a post, after I click Submit the page refreshes and I see the article - the expected behavior.

However, if I notice something I want to change, edit the post, and click Save, the page refreshes and it looks like the post has disappeared. If I then refresh the page / reload the page manually, the edited version of the page is there.

For me, this is reliable and reproducible behavior on the site I'm working on.

Hmmm... but it doesn't happen here. What's the likely cause of this?

Add-ons are the most probably cause followed by changes in custom styles.
