XF 2.1 Administrators doesn't take one user in

When I try to add a user as Moderator or Administrator from the acp I can do it without any issue, except one imported user.
That particular user does not appear during the usual lookup. Same for moderator.
Anyone can point me to the right direction to (try) to troubleshoot it?

When you say 'does not appear during the usual lookup' do you mean that you can't add them at all, or do you mean that when you type in their name in the user name box prior to adding, it doesn't 'find' the user ie there's no user pop-up when you type in their name?

If the latter, it just means that the user hasn't logged into the site for an extended period (around 6 months).

I meant the list gets populated with other users that start with the same letters but not the one I want (and it exists, I checked).
It is a fresh, new installation, just imported, nobody logged in yet.

But I tried to log in as that user, logout and than add him. It worked! It seems it also import the last log in time from vBulletin. I had no idea.

@Mik_27 you don't need the user popup name to click on, that's just a nicety. As long as you know the username, you can just type that in and you can still add them as a moderator/administrator.
