the right icon delete link does not work in the list

It appears to work for me. You'll need to be more specific about what's happening.

On windows 10 latest chrome I click on the trashcan icon (with the intent to remove the forum link node) but nothing happens.

Disable any ad blocker you may be using and try again.

to clarify: this link works well in the "i only see a single forum with all its options" view. In the vertical list of all nodes, right to every node is the trash can icon. When I click on it, nothing happens. Maybe it is just my special windows configuration, of course that is possible.

xf2 looks very good otherwise, running stable here.

Yeah, I'd start there.

This isn't anything that anyone can reproduce so the above comment seems to be the likely candidate.

This works when I set $_SERVER['REQUEST_SCHEME'] = 'https' in config.php

Somehow nothing happens when you click on the trashcan icon when xf uses internal http protocoll but the user accesses acp by https

We'll close this as being based on the issue relating to how SSL is terminated (and none of the "standard" methods for detecting this have been passed through).
