Duplicate "Admin" in field username in admin.php?users/username/user_id/edit

I click on a user's name, then on the icon for moderator tools, and then on "Edit." The form with the user's data appears. In the field for the name, it says "Admin." I have to reload the page for the correct username to show. Is it my browser that's putting "Admin" in the field, or is it XenForo?

It's likely your browser or a password manager, or similar.

We will keep this open to see if there's anything we can do to prevent auto filling here, although sometimes such mitigations do not always work. It's also odd that it goes away after a refresh.

I'm observing this bug since v2.3.0. Steps to reproduce:

• Make sure you're not logged into Admin panel
• Select any user and "Edit"
• Log into Admin
• The user intended to be edited will have the logged-in admin username

When I go to the admin control panel, the Search for users input has my username added:



This input should remain empty.

I'm using Firefox on macOS.

The problem with "Admin" appearing in various input fields seems to be less related to XenForo 2.3 and more connected to the browser. I’ve come to this conclusion because this issue, where "Admin" suddenly appears everywhere, is now also happening on older XenForo sites.

On the other hand, there’s one place where I’d be extremely happy if the fields had the browser’s autocomplete function, and that’s in the moderation of threads, posts, and users. Here, I have to type things daily without any memory function because every field has a completely new name. It’s really unfortunate because there’s a lot of typing to do every day.
