I had to stop using this because the post restriction was happening in forums where it was not supposed to. I double checked the permissions in every forum and also in the settings for the add-on, where they are listed with a comma. However a user was getting it in one of the forums that is not listed (and sent a screenshot), and I went to the forum settings and it is not enabled there, nor is the number in the add-on settings.

This release improves limit messages and fixes several cases where posts were counted incorrectly or limits did not apply as expected.

Custom URL for limit messages
Limit messages can now link to a rules, FAQ, upgrade, or other custom page. Normal XenForo permission errors remain unlinked.

Better message for zero allowance
Members with an allowance of zero now see the add-on's limit message instead of XenForo's generic permission error.

Sorry, need to clarify this further. The bug fix was applied to another your report, not the one you mentioned here.

As for this issue, it seems to be misunderstanding on how the add-on works. The inclusion/exclusion setting is there to define which nodes count towards user's limit, and should not be understood as "where is the add-on active". A typical use case is a forum with "off topic" section, where the posts are not important, and you do not user's posts there to limit how many posts they can make in other forum sections.

To make exclude a forum from the limits fully, you should update the Node permissions and set Limit number of posts within time defined below and Limit number of threads within time defined below to "Unlimited".

Please let me know if this resolves your issue fully.
 
Hello,

I have updated the add-on to the latest version. However, when clicking the "Post thread" button, I get the "Page not found. The requested page could not be found." error. When I disable the add-on, the issue resolves itself. What could be causing this?

Yes, and when you click the Post Thread button at the top of forum list you get:
Oops! We ran into some problems.
The requested forum could not be found.

Disabled until fixed. (Works when disabled.)

Hopefully a quick fix.

The same thing happened to my forum.
It is strange that everyone cannot create threads bun only in some forums.
I am waiting for a fix.
