XF 1.3 Adding a server side include

I have code so I can have the same navigation bar on my forum as my site to keep it seamless looking, and my host says that I need to add a server side include. I am struggling to do this, let alone know where and on what template to add it too.

Any help?

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to achieve but the navigation template is responsible for all of the navigation items in XenForo.

You can add/remove components from that to suit, to a certain extent.
