A tooltip does make sense to me. although it would only be useful for desktop.

If not a tooltip itself, adding a title="" attribute could be a simple solution.

Anything that helps people know what this is for is more useful than just icons and number. I am in favour of being able to explicitly explain, as mentioned here.
