It would be nice to see smilies in the profile. Having them parsed in the profile block is another story, I think this would be space wasted.

Times are changing. Page would be important in the profile and on the overview, side bar is rather unimportant.

This above + the full editor options. Without having a blog feature in XF, my members would have to use their profile walls to post information and updates for only their friends (no, those they have to follow) to see. Videos and pictures are a part of that information.
