I am creating a mod and looking for information on having the Add-on installing the profile fields for me.
I see that I can import and export fields. Excellent, but I am not creating thread fields. Is that custom user field addon only for thread fields?http://xenforo.com/community/resources/custom-fields-by-waindigo.885/
I think my add-on can do this for you.
This add-on does thread fields and user fields.I see that I can import and export fields. Excellent, but I am not creating thread fields. Is that custom user field addon only for thread fields?

I think that is what Jake suggested. But if you don't want to do that, you can use my add-on and avoid writing any code at all.In your add-ons installer code you could just spawn a profile field model, check if they already exist then spawn a data writer and create them
How do I attach the userfield to an addon?I think that is what Jake suggested. But if you don't want to do that, you can use my add-on and avoid writing any code at all.
Install custom fields, edit your user field and there should be a drop down menu to select an add-on. You may need to have debug mode enabled.I think that is what Jake suggested. But if you don't want to do that, you can use my add-on and avoid writing any code at all.
If you're good enough to follow those instructions, then surely you don't need TMS either. I hate having to install TMS to use your add-ons, which are usually pretty useful add-ons.ah here we go. Thanks Chris. http://xenforo.com/community/threads/how-to-make-an-addon-resource.36090/
