THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION and no contract offer... to add-on developers that have the free capacity and interest in doing this for the community (as a paid add-on of course):
Have an add-on that posts a thread in the forum (and a widget block maybe) that shows the forum updates of the day. This could be making sense in forums where users need to know which versions are running on the board exactly.
So a thread could be automatically created in a specifically selected forum node once per 24 hours (a Cron Job actually) that summarizes the updates of the forum software.
Example
