Duplicate Add new version alert for add-ons in ACP

Sometimes it's difficult to keep track of the versions of add-ons being used. I have to rely on the 'watched thread' notifications for any update to the add-ons but sometimes I'll miss it especially when I won't update them immediately after I received the notifications.

Would be great If there could be some form of alert icons beside the add-on when a new update is released, But then it might involve some sort of communications between the server and Xenforo official website and that might cause privacy issues. Maybe allow only one way detection? I don't know.

Update notification for Xenforo addons?

Is it currently possible for addon authors to code so that when Xenforo owners log in to their ACP, there is an alert of which addon has been updated. Yes, it's Wordpress system but I just want to know if it's possible. It's hard to keep track of the versions right now.

Omg, that's a feature requested almost 10 years ago...
