The next version completely changes things up on how I place things. However it also allows for multi ads per position which is hard to get right for fluid themes. I am waiting to see what changes are in 1.2 before pushing to release the next version as there might be changes to how templates work.

Sorry for the false alert. I figured it out. You have to remove the default auto margin from the Positions menu on the backend. It was conflicting with my CSS settings.

I made a custom code. There i wanted to make the banner clickable and redirect to the sponsor.
i use this

But if i go to the banner and hoover over it, i see that the link is containg first my site name, followed by the href. so http://mysite.nl/www.***.de ???

Am i doing something wrong ?

I am interested in this resource, just a couple of questions first. On my site I use a third party to supply advert code and have agreed to set positions within the forum.

Firstly, is it possible to have a third party ad code in this versus telling it where a banner file is? They supply all the ad code for me to display.

Also with ad positioning, can I, for example, place an advert in the first post and the last post only of a thread page? The default Xenforo advert settings place the advert in every single post.

Thats all I can think of for now, will probably be more Q's yet

You can use any code you like. You choose custom code where there is just a box for code or you choose to use a banner.

Those positions aren't currently supported but can kind of be hacked in. The next version should support positions better however it is a fair while away.

Just delayed support lately, I have much less time now and am going to work at managing my time better as to get back to XenForo releases properly.

As for your question, there is no easy way to do those things currently. It's too specific.

Referred my client to this plugin but found a bug. The ad criteria is such it should display on all the threads and forums page but when I select all the forums, it just does not show on the first one.

Quick question. Is it possible to have more banners on the same spot, and the sistem to pick one randomly from the banners on that spot? Like rotating banners?

Yes. It will either randomly select one or do them in order (picks the one that hasn't been shown for the longest amount of time to show).

No It does not show when I am inside the first node but shows inside other nodes. I don't think this has anything to do with the xenforo.

There is no ad here - http://sixtyandme.com/forums/forums/Introductions/ but there is an ad here - http://sixtyandme.com/forums/forums/tutorials-and-forum-help/ where as the ad should be on both the nodes.

Can you play around with it to see if you can get it to show on the first one? Like make a test ad only admins will see in that position for that node.

@Robbo testbuild 28 is the latest version?? Im not sure which version to grab but want the latest one because I need to see what the position definitions say as I need to know what size banners each location can fit if possible?

The test build is hard to use and doesn't have support because it isn't fully tested yet, there are a lot of changes in it and I haven't had a chance to finalize it as it is quite hard to get the positioning functionality working well enough to not have massive amounts of support requests to use them.

im just trying to figure out where and what 'size' fits into each section? I know most of them but some i dont...

It has been a while since I used it. There should be preview buttons on there to help you configure things. Basically you have to set the size of each position and then set what size each ad is you put it there so the add-on knows how many ads it can fit into them.
