Add-on [AD Credits] What would you like to see in a credits add-on?

Can you list the actions already implemented that give credits or upload an image to know more about that?

Currently you can get credits from:

• Posting threads
• Posting replies
• Getting trophies

Also, I was talking about this addons with some of my most active users and we had the idea to add the possibility to "buy" some smileys for example a certain smiley group. Is it something possible?

• I really don't see a point in doing this, doesn't seem like a very good idea to do IMO
• That would be a good idea to implement, and I will probably do so
• That is too easy to become spammy as they tend to not be moderated as much (especially replies to profile posts that you can't even like/report)
• This could be a decent possibility

I doubt that is something we will implement in this add-on, however, if you can find an add-on that sets permissions to certain smilies it will be possible using the 'permission' item type that will be developed.

This could be for down the road and it's just me thinking out loud but... it could be kind of cool to setup like "groups of items".
Ideally the whole point of a point system and store is to encourage user involvement and get them posting, earning more points so they can spend. While buying just a random item could be useful for some what about making it so we can set groups of items which users can track progress, and maybe set an end goal. Example:

Group 1

• Item 1
  
• Item 2
• Item 3
• Item 4
• Item 5

As a user earns points they can buy items, if they purchase Item 1 from group 1 they'd be at 20% completion. Once they purchase all the items from the group admins can set a reward, such as a cash bonus or a promotion to a new user group.

Kind of an Role playing style I suppose but if setup right it could be universal to allow for various niches to get involved on it.

This probably won't be included in the core, however it is very easy to extend and have this custom made.

Should be, I haven't used it, or even downloaded it but I see no reason it should not be compatible just by reading the post.

This probably will not be included in the core, you can however make a custom product type for that.

But in the future could you please consider making this compatible with Chris D's Add-on. XMG( XenMediaGallery) I only need one feature from it.

Same here. I was all set a couple of weeks ago to get "another credits add-on" until one of my other developers pointed out some less than desired business practices.

Sorry for the late reply, we've just been really busy with some client work for XenForo add-on development so I haven't had time to work on this in the past couple weeks, it is close to being available for the beta testers (who I believe were already chosen by @Mike Creuzer).

I know it's been a while; but I just finished the core framework for the shop portion of the add-on. Also have finished one of the demo product types (upgrading to a different usergroup via credits)
