Why do I have a 183 line empty gap in the source code of a page between the start <!DOCTYPE html> and the <head> tag in Abyss style?

I have to optimize my SQL database table every 2 days otherwise there is too much loss causing a slowdown of the forum?

I am attaching the full source code of a discussion without alteration so you can see that there is really a severe loss with empty space

That gap is for all the conditional statements, variables and more that we load on the page container before the actual HTML starts (since XF doesn't do any template minimization); However, there should be zero impact to performance because of this (all our styles have a large gap like this), so your DB issue is most likely something else.
 
Thanks Will, indeed it doesn't slow down the opening of pages.

Since I replaced Shades of Grey with the Abyss style as my default style, all my mobile issues have been eliminated on the one hand and the additions I made thanks to you have allowed me to eliminate all the problems of slowness and unindexed pages.

I recommend your styles because they are really powerful and versatile.
