XF 2.0 A question regarding expiry

Hello,

I just bought a Xenforo license a few minutes ago.
So i've seen that there is an expiry date.
What i wonder is what happens after the expiry date.
Does an expired license means that i'm not allowed to use the software anymore?
Am i still able to download the software?
Is it illegal to have Xenforo installed with an expired license?

No. The license grants you access to support & updates. When the license expires, you won't get access to ticket support, and you won't be able to get updates. But you will be able to use the previous versions.

Somebody higher up correct me if I'm wrong.

The initial license purchase is a one off payment, which includes 12 months of support and updates.

After 12 months, the license is still valid and you can continue to use the software with no additional charges, but should you wish to download new releases or access ticket support, you would need to purchase a 1 year extension.

Otherwise you can choose not to renew support and remain on the same version.
