A few questions

I have a few questions about xenforo, before I make a switch.

1.| What is the permission system like? Can I restrict boards and content via age?

2.| What kind of template system does it have?

3.| Would it be possible to make the first post of a topic look different from replies?

4.| Does the editor allow floats or table formatting?(I didn't see any when making this topic)

What I mean is with SMF, I am not only able to just change the css stylesheet or anything in it, but the whole theme. Meaning some boards I have set to a different theme, which has a completely different layout(because the HTML is different also besides the CSS).

Do you call xenForo "styles" instead of "themes"? Maybe that's where the confusion came for me. Or did you mean "Styles" as in different stylesheets?

Yes, style means theme means skin and each different one has its own templates, CSS and HTML markup.
So you can make each forum look completely different if you want.
