[8WR] XenMedio (Media)

[8WR] XenMedio (Media) 1.5.3a

No permission to download
Hi,

I just bought the premium version of XenMedio and I was hoping that I could get some info.

I see that I can have recent and popular media show up in the tab when it's clicked, with the categories in the sidebar - but is there any way to have the categories in the main content area? I would like to have perhaps sections in the main area. For example, (photography stuff) Lighting Tutorials, Still Life, Portraiture, etc. The attached screen grab shows the sort of thing that I mean, but it would be with video thumbnails in the sections.

Can it be done?

Or can the menu tab take you straight into a category with maybe a list of the other categories there too (apart from the sidebar)

I hope that this all makes sense! Thanks! :)

Hugh

hi
i wonder jaxel could you resend me the premium php file i bought it awhile back and seemed to have missed laid it or will i have to repurchase ?

This mod does not work with Darkimmortal's great ParseHTML mod

I have asked this before and didn't get a reply even though I donated money to Jaxel for it, also purchased the Premium extra and also purchased some extra services.

When adding a YouTube video into the media library, it goes in fine, works properly and everything else.

However, the auto thread creation doesn't work in as much as YES, it DOES create a thread BUT, all that is in the post is bbcode like this:
img1.webp

The issue is directly related to the parsehtml mod as when I disable that it will work fine.

Can anyone...Jaxel?...help with how to get this mod working properly with the parseHTML mod

Somebody explain to me what value this adds to a site. I could see the value in a mod that allowed in-thread playing of videos from a number of different sites, but as I see this, it is a media library. Why? How will this increase traffic or participation? Why do members need their own media libraries? I don't get it.

Problem with YouTube parsing...

The URL in the format of...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-x8zBzxCwsM#!

... returns an error message that it is an unrecognized service. The URL format is pretty common to come across since it is the URL returned when clicking on a already embedded video (eg: embed a video inside of an XF thread, click on the YouTube logo, you'll get that format URL in your browser bar).

That was fixed a LONG time ago... make sure you have the newest version of the mod and your youtube regular expression is:
Code:
http://[a-z\.]*?(?:youtube\.[a-z]+/watch\?.*?v=|youtu\.be/)([\w-]+)

Installed a fresh copy in the last 72 hours using the copy attached to the RM page.

I'll check the code in a bit....

UPDATE: The version is showing as 1.3.8 in the ACP. Here's the regex for the YouTube service...
Code:
http://[a-z\.]*?(?:youtube\.[a-z]+/watch\?v=|youtu\.be/)([\w-]+)
Changing it to the revised regex you posted fixes it, thanks. :)

As I have learnt to double check anything that is done with Jaxel's mods, I have just checked mine which was down loaded and updated to 1.3.8 just the other day and I find my YouTube regular expression is also wrong. It was:
Code:
http://[a-z\.]*?(?:youtube\.[a-z]+/watch\?v=|youtu\.be/)([\w-]+)
So I have changed to
http://[a-z\.]*?(?:youtube\.[a-z]+/watch\?.*?v=|youtu\.be/)([\w-]+)

Every person that has downloaded the mod recently will probably find that they will also have errors...I guess

Anyway, I still haven't heard a reply to my post #28...Jaxel, you ain't gonna get one more cent from me ever again...that's it!
