Unfortunately you are not the only one with this problem and it is a problem for all Jaxels addons. Donation is a gift, you didn't buy any support at all and Jaxel doesn't support it on the pay base either.

Yes, this is Jaxels business model. You can agree or not. Love it or not.
Also you dont have to pay, because his addons are free.
 
Stuck on creating my 1st custom block. Have my site in debug mode. I copied adsense.xml and renamed everything inside it to adsense2 and saved. In /portal/blocks I see adsense2 in disabled blocks and moved it to sidebar and saved. Going to my site the adsense block shows, but adsense block2 does not.. Am I forgetting to do something?

Can you upload your adsense2 files so I can double check that you've renamed them correctly? Sometimes it helps to have a second pair of eyes on it.

Ok - this may be old news to some as I haven't waded through all the pages ....

I've just installed this on my forum and I wanted to use one of the blocks for a slideshow and kept seeing on here that it couldn't be done ... well you can using a simple JS for it

Just thought I'd let some know who maybe, like me thought Xenforo couldn't do it

My forum can be seen at www.ippn.co.uk and the slideshow is at the bottom ... it loads a title first so does seem not to be doing anything :)
 
So if I want a completely custom block for xenporta, where do I start as far as incorporating it? Assume that I have the data ready to populate the block and any inner html js and css that I would be using in order already.

Someone asked me if I could try to make them a (setup one at least) xenporta module for something they are working on and I am wondering what is involved and with hundreds of pages of porta stuff...I really can't wade through it and I don't know what terms to even search for.

I just altered one of the existing block templates to point to a new template I created as I couldn't understand how to create extra blocks :)

I really don't know what to do with that from there...if that is just put in a newly created template how I am referencing it? I have never used xenporta at all and installed it for the first time today.
 
Lightbulb ..... found the install block button DOH .... and installed the html one referenced above ....

I feel so stupid !

I didn't even know there was an FAQ for it...lol. I also didn't see the button.

Now everyone's XML examples look so different...I don't know which to follow...

Also I see <listeners/> in one of the examples...is there an example of that tag being used? Otherwise I am going to have to make an addon just for the listener I am going to need.

Seems like I'm racking my brains over something which might be quite obvious, what is the ID one must enter?
For example, would the ID at http://8wayrun.com/events/soulcalibur-v-french-launch-event.242/ be 242? Or is it something else?

Wonder if anyone else is having an issue streaming from the EventsStream Block?
 
OK - quick question .... can I have the headers on my portal text the same as my forum style like thus:

So the heading for each section would look like the "information" bar above - not just as bold text like it is now
