404s out of control??

On October 31, my 404s started to spike according to Google Analytics. Today, Analytics is showing my 404 page is up 6,682%.

At about the same time or shortly afterwards, some of my members started to say that they were getting a "Please wait while your request is verified" message and they couldn't get past it. However, if they logged on via cell or VPN, they could access normally.

My host thinks it's a bot surge that triggered something within Litespeed on the server and he is trying to disable.

Anyone else have any thoughts on what's happening here?

frequently comes from cloudflare. or your host. Not a xenforo issue.

I suggest you use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com.

The link is in the lower right corner of that page.

That particular error isn't Cloudflare related, it's coming from Imunify360. Probably a service the hosting company is using across the board.
