403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

Hy

I have installed the Xenforo in IIS 7.5.

When I attach a picture to a message, appears as a small picture, and i give the following error message when I click on the picture:
"
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

"

This only happens when I am not logged in into the forum.
If I am logged in, the picture is displayed correctly.

How can I solve this problem? Thanks!

It sounds like you have a permission setting for guests not to be able to view attachments.

Forum Permissions for Guest --> View attachments to posts: NO

The Errors:

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

OR

HTTP 500

Forum Permissions for Guest --> View attachments to posts: YES

When View attachments to posts: YES, Guests can download attachments. This is a big problem for me.

Xenforo is not an appropriate forum for me.

What is the solution?

The problem you posted here is basically from the same issue: either the web.config file isn't in place (as listed in our help) or your server isn't reading it (or the directives aren't overridable). See these discussions for specifics on whether the file is being read and the values overwritten:
