XF 2.2 2 Add-Ons with the same content type and the same handler

Today I had a problem for which I have no solution.... And wonder if you ever had this and or have an idea / solution.

Scenario: I have created a handler for 'report_comment' -> 'alert_handler_class' with my add-on.

So far so good. Unfortunately the forum owner has installed an add-on which also creates the same ContentType and the same handler.

What leads to the fact that the handling by my add-on is disturbed. since the other add-on has taken over the "controlle". Is there a solution or is this just bad luck and one of the two add-on providers has to come up with an alternative?

I usually prefer to just make my own prefixed content type and redefine all handlers that I need, e.g. entity, phrase, etc.
