We have Enhanced Search & Elasticsearch installed on a VPS and working nicely (with XON's superb add-ons too).
However, it doesn't treat the character & and the word and as the same.
To be clear, a search for "Jack and Jill" does not find the phrase "Jack & Jill" and vice versa.
I would hope that this superb technology would solve this common problem
Have we made a mistake in our config settings?
Should it treat
both &
or
and
as if they were the same?

We are using:
XenForo Enhanced Search 2.2.2
Elasticsearch 8.12.0
XenForo 2.2.15
PHP 8.1.27
10.6.18-MariaDB
plus XON's add-ons:
ElasticSearch Essentials 3.16.4
Search Improvements 2.15.4
Standard Library 1.21.1
Browser detection 2.3.1
