Fixed 2.3.7 Font Color Issue

Thank you for reporting this issue, it has now been resolved. We are aiming to include any changes that have been made in a future XF release (2.3.13).

Change log:
Workaround Chromium issue applying text coloring unexpectedly
There may be a delay before changes are rolled out to the XenForo Community.

So looking forward to tiptap editor instead of the current minified mess. Because when something breaks in Froala; it is deep inside and hard to debug.

Hmm tbh I’ve not given it much thought yet but Tiptap might feel similarly opaque. The development artefacts themselves that build the bundle are not included in the released download as it stands and aside from the stuff you can download the source for from GitHub there’s a lot of custom plugins we’ve written or native ones extended. I’ll take what you’ve said on board as feedback. Debugging might be easier at least even if we do nothing as a source map ships.

For backporting this fix to older versions of XF2.2/XF2.3; I've included my variation of this bugfix into my paid advanced bb-codes pack add-on;

Some other copy & paste issues are fixed, which ChrisD has indicated are fixed in XF2.4, not sure if/when backporting of those to XF2.3 will happen.

Oh that’s definitely an if, unfortunately. Most things work in Tiptap just because it isn’t awful. The things that work in Tiptap aren’t through any conscious effort. It just works, so there isn’t anything to backport, as such.

Seems to happen less often but I still see this font color being added to pasted text running the latest XenForo 2.3.13.

The problem is still there! For "unknown" reasons, users text still appears in a different colour in places.

No because we've exhausted all we can with the information we've been given and the bug report is no longer useful. The issue as reported and as far as we could ascertain is fixed. If there's more to it or other cases where it doesn't work, that's going to need a new report with more information otherwise we're just working in the dark.
