Is there a date for the news announcement version 1.2.2? What is the new additions in the next version?

Release dates are not announced in advanced. It will be released when Mike & Kier deem it ready.

If it's just bug fixes, their won't be any sort of pre-announcement. If it has new features, it will be shown first in HYS.

New features are introduced in second point releases.
