Version 1.2.0 is a major UI and workflow update for Eggy Forum Icon Maker.
The main focus of this release has been rebuilding and polishing the Admin CP experience so the add-on feels more like a dedicated creative workstation rather than a standard configuration page.
What’s changed
New workstation-style ACP layout
The editor has been reworked into a cleaner three-part workspace built around:
- Asset Library
- Creative canvas
- Live Inspector
This gives the canvas more visual priority while keeping artwork management and previews immediately accessible.
Improved Edit, Art and Output workflow
The three main working modes have been redesigned with clearer navigation, icons, numbering and active states.
- Edit Mode – canvas and placement controls
- Art Mode – styles, backgrounds, effects, colour and variants
- Output Studio – icon sizes, formats, variants and ZIP generation
Artwork management has been cleaned up with:
- Clearer upload controls
- Improved artwork thumbnails
- Stronger selected-item states
- Cleaner Paste and Sample actions
- Improved set management controls
Canvas and placement improvements
The main editing area has received a substantial visual pass.
Changes include:
- Improved canvas framing
- Clearer safe-area controls
- Better drag and scale guidance
- Refined Smart Fit, Centre and Reset controls
- Improved Canvas, Placement and Transform sections
- Cleaner slider, value and toggle presentation
Art Mode improvements
Art Mode has been reorganised and polished throughout.
Updated areas include:
- Styles
- Background
- Shape
- Effects
- Colour
- Variants
Quick Styles, gradient presets, effect controls and colour tools have all been reworked for better spacing and readability.
Improved Effects controls
Effects such as shadows, glow, atmosphere and outlines now use a cleaner layout with less cramped controls and more readable values.
Improved Output Studio
The export workflow has been refined to make generating icon packs easier to understand.
Improvements include:
- Cleaner size selection
- Improved file option layout
- Better custom-size controls
- Larger variant previews
- Improved variant selection
- Cleaner ZIP generation area
The live Inspector has been upgraded with:
- Larger preview area
- Alpha, Light, Dark and Black preview backgrounds
- Improved Preview, Context and Compare views
- Cleaner artwork, appearance and output metadata
- Improved actual-size previews from 16px through 128px
There are also many smaller refinements throughout the interface, including:
- Improved typography hierarchy
- More consistent buttons and inputs
- Better spacing and alignment
- Reduced text clipping
- Improved viewport behaviour
- Cleaner panel structure
- Reduced unnecessary visual clutter
- Improved support and XenForo compatibility information
The existing icon rendering and export functionality has been preserved while the surrounding interface has been substantially upgraded.
This is primarily a presentation, usability and workflow release rather than a change to the underlying rendering engine.
