IRC still is very much in use, as is the /me command... it's used for referring to one's self in the third person. I certainly would develop this myself as soon as I can afford a copy, and I'm about 1/3 of the way there now... going by AdSense and SpreadShirt earnings >.>

Problem is though, they can no longer continue with the Tiberian Saga, if I'm not mistaken... unless they redid the ending of C&C4*, so it'll be either within the Red Alert setting, or an entirely new one. *I've yet to play the 4th C&C... will have to soon for the sake of completeness.

It is indeed. People on my forums like using it a lot, to the extent that I have a whole thread dedicated to just /me commands and also use it regularly within threads.

I have a copy of The First Decade, plus I also use the 1.03 semi-official patch. I also have Red Alert 3 (no expansion) and Tiberium Wars (and the expansion). I've been apprehensive about the 4th C&C ever since I played the Multiplayer Beta... I found it pretty hard to get used to, unfortunately.

I've searched the forums, but no one has seemed to have mentioned the use of a /me command! I know that it's in SMF 1.x (and presumably 2.x) and I have an add-on for it in vBulletin 4.x (though the add-on dates from 3.8), but I was wondering if there's plans for one in the forum software proper...

Given my member number is 2563, I'd be inclined to agree with you, especially as I signed up on the Tuesday following the announcement, though I think that the numbers have shot up since then.

I imagine it's partly due to Internet Brands shooting themselves in the foot, with their announcement of a claim against XenForo; before that point many people (including me) had never even heard this was even in development!

I second this idea... I do like the Trophies inclusion though, on a side-note.

XF will be getting my money just as soon as I have the funds to spare... I intend to put the system through its paces before replacing my vB install or linking it into other sites.
