Has anything been written or updated on the User Upgrades / Monetization feature this year? There's a vague reference in the 2.0 manual (below) but nothing else I can find. Searches here also seem to be limited to a few simple questions and answers.

Just the URL. So that should work. One question, what will it return if the user has not yet set an avatar and just has the letter w/ the random color?

I need to grab the user avatar for an external settings page. What is the correct way to do this? It seems especially tricky since the default "avatar" is the letter in the users name and a random color. If it helps I already have an instance of XF running on this external page load.

Ok, so the date is just there to force a current pull of the css file to avoid caching? If so I can easily recreate that, I just thought maybe there were "versions" of the css that XF held onto.

After doing some more testing, it does load the css with only the style_id and language variables. However, it doesn't seem to change when I make changes to extra.less. Am I still doing this incorrectly? Or is there a caching issue with the browsers w/o the time stamp from the date variable?
