Update: After some research I think this may be because of the /dev/sda3 mount being full (100%). Keeping ya'll updated if you have the same issue. Edit: You can check this in your root folder (cd /) with the command df -h Edit 2: This fixed the problem.

If someone should still have this issue: Do exactly what @Xe|no|Loro did and also remove your old version using apt purge php7.2 php7.2-common (php 7.2 for example) Restart using systemctl restart apache2 and it will work.

I am not a developer and I do not know how much work needs to be done to make this work, but I do not think that $25 are worth it. For $5-$10 I'd buy it tho Correct me if I see this wrong please :)
