Although a good idea in theory, people can still access the "protected" areas if they have a direct link, or know html and can just remove the "protection" via inspect element. Any way to also implement the permission system with the protected areas?

What you're saying is true, but with forum permissions, you can easily resolve this problem.

I saw the "Protected Nodes" add-on you are talking about and I would like to buy it but I can't, nothing is displayed for payment. However my license is up to date on the xentr.net forum and I also did the token validation. It is incomprehensible to me. I contacted by private message two important staff members and I hope for an answer, an explanation. I can't buy anything that's in the store of the "xentr.net" forum.
