Are you saying that the importer is done already? or how long do you have left on it?You'll be able to import them, though I'm not sure it's possible to have both running on the same installation without error.

I said it would be possible to import them is all. I haven't started on any importers. Are you saying that the importer is done already? or how long do you have left on it?
Thanks for the info.It should be possible. I kept prefixes on all the other routes of the other add-on (xfa-blogs, etc) to make sure that there is no collision, and all the fields in the database are also prefixed. Same with the templates and phrases. And since the code is in different folders ... that is pretty much it.
It would look funny though to have two "blog" links on the navbar. But that could be a temporary transition. The only issue I would see is when using the Route Changer addon, since a lot of people dislike the xfa-blogs url and rewrite it to be just "blogs". They need to remember to change it back.
Also unique, xfa_blog_entry and xfa_blog_commentI said it would be possible to import them is all. I haven't started on any importers.
Thanks for the info.I figured that would be the case, my concern was really directed to content types. Are those unique too?
So basically I could buy XI blogs and tell members to start new blogs and their old entries from the old blogs will be imported later???I said it would be possible to import them is all. I haven't started on any importers.

Renaming Better Blogs Route as /oldblogs/oldentries/oldcomments and sticking them underneath the XI Blogs subnavigation menu.It should be possible. You could, but you'll likely lose accurate redirects as IDs wouldn't be retained. So basically I could buy XI blogs and tell members to start new blogs and their old entries from the old blogs will be imported later???
I would be happy with just a written/published SQL command or script that we can run that will migrate/copy across data from another blog into this? Doesn't have to be GUI functionality within the add-on, but just something with developer review/approval that says this is the SQL to run that will appropriately bring across entries from xx blog into XI Blogs. Is this possible?I said it would be possible to import them is all. I haven't started on any importers.
To write those properly, would be basically writing an entire importer, so I doubt any non-importer SQL queries will be provided.I would be happy with just a written/published SQL command or script that we can run that will migrate/copy across data from another blog into this? Mouth should we make a Paid resource request thread? Maybe we can get a coder to help us out.I would be happy with just a written/published SQL command or script that we can run that will migrate/copy across data from another blog into this? There's number of counters and other info that needs to be calculated on insert, but it is possible if you look at the structure and data writer requirements.I would be happy with just a written/published SQL command or script that we can run that will migrate/copy across data from another blog into this? Is it difficult to ask for a little patience from you? You have been pressing this issue to both me and Jeremy. This is a product in active development and flux. Importers will come soon.Mouth should we make a Paid resource request thread? Maybe we can get a coder to help us out.
I understand his frustrations, I want a 3.8 importer yesterday. I am sure I mentioned this nearly a year ago...There's number of counters and other info that needs to be calculated on insert, but t is possible if you look at the structure and data writer requirements. Is it difficult to ask for a little patience from you? Your situations aren't the same in this instance, and that's really the only thing you've asked for continually and I completely understand. vB 3.8 is the very first thing we're targeting with the importer, and Jeremy has been working on that already. It really won't be much longer now.I understand his frustrations, I want a 3.8 importer yesterday. I am sure I mentioned this nearly a year ago...
