XFES and multiple forums

If you have multiple forums on one instance, can you run XFES on all (or more than 1) of them?

Or do you need to run 1 forum on 1 instance with Elasticsearch?

Further, would running 2 ES-enabled forums on 1 instance confuse the forums or would they know to search that forum only and not provide results from another forum?

New to XFES/Elasticsearch.

You can use XFES, on all of your sites, on one instance of Elasticsearch. When you set up XFES on your site, you'll enter an "Index name", which will help your site determine where to look for that site's search results. Similar to if you had multiple MySQL databases on the same server.

I'm running four sites on my server, and only even had to touch Elasticsearch on the first one.
