Truncate IP Log Cron (version 1.0) - Truncate xf_ip table via cron

Thought I'd have a go at a proper add-on for XF, so this is my first attempt.

This will install a cron to truncate the xf_ip table on the first day of the month. You can change the cron date/time once installed.

Nice and simple, and does what is says on the tin.

You can check the ip table in the database.

I've got the MySQL query to do that, so I'll look into building that into this add-on

Great idea Matt - could it be modified to allow owners to keep the data for a specific number of days and remove anything older?

Reworked to allow option to keep number of days worth of entries

This add-on no longer truncates the whole table, but allows you to specify the number of days worth of entries in the xf_ip table

Default value is 180 days worth of log entries to keep.
You can also turn the enable / disable the cron from this option screen.

I think that would be best - especially as it's not a culmulative IP like the login ones, so should be low impact on table space.
