Add-on xf2 Hover menu for Alerts, inbox and account details

I am getting stick fro some members now that they have to click to get the dropdown menus instead of just hovering to see them.

It also means to get to account details you need to click twice.

An addon to solve this issue would be great, can anyone do this?

I'm interested in this, but only for the left side of the nav for the menus, so I guess the opposite of the original request.



I'm finding the fact that you have to click to show the sub menus, and that the tap target is only the tiny arrow is getting annoying compared to other sites I'm using with automatic drop down on hover or a large tap target for the whole button.

Maybe also the same hover effect for 1st level sub menus that have additional sub menus

Well, I'm interested for either/both. If it can be done as an addon I think then option for either or both would be useful.

Going to have to bump this suggestion up a bit, though would really prefer a slightly different version.

So if you are on "Forums", you normally see "New Posts", "Find Threads", "Watched", etc, etc, below the tab.
What I would prefer is that if you then choose to hover over "What's New", the links in that bar below change to what would normally be in the dropdown for "What's New".

Would just be an option, and the more available that also are unique then the better.
