XF 2.2 <xf:pageaction />

Probably a really stupid question, but if I have an addon that I want to display something in the <xf:pageaction /> tag in page_container, what is the best way to do this?

For example, in whats_new_wrapper I want to add a button to <xf:pageaction /> to open a modal. I'm good with the code for the button, but not sure on the best way to add to <xf:pagecontainer />.

To inject code into a template you use a template modification.
