It's a server not a browser/client thing and you need to be running nginx.

I continue to use the defer javascript loading option on my site running 1.1 but I'm not sure if it still provides much benefit

if you uninstall xfoptimize, does it automatically removed all the files of xfoptimize?

Just installed it on one of my sites running 1.1 and it took away the editor from every thread, Im not sure if its just in some browsers though as some people could reply to threads and others couldnt.

Interesting idea but as a developer I find this unusable as it messes with existing file locations and doesn't offer a solution to easily switch between settings (once you run this addon, your files are compressed and if you want to go back, have fun copying..).

I think you could easily work around this by compressing the files in a new location and redirecting requests to those files via rewrite's, although that of course brings a dependency with it.
