    Hi,

    Can anybody tell me where I would find the sites meta description or do I need to add a code to each page?

    Thanks.

    A relevant description is added to some of the common pages. If you want to add it to additional pages, you would need to modify the templates.

    Could also let search engines make their own for you.

    Might give you many more variations as long as you've got relevant text

    @Mike
    Have a question related to meta description.
    For this thread page in my forum -
    http://www.indusladies.com/community/threads/calorie-tracker-for-weight-loss.277995/
    the meta description is as below:

    Code:
    Dear IL'ites,
    Please see attached a calorie tracker for those starting on the weight loss journey. This would be the simplest way to get started in...
    but earlier when my forum platform used to be vbulletin I had the meta description as:
    Code:
    Find out about "Calorie Tracker for Weight Loss on IndusLadies. Dear IL'ites,
    Please see attached a calorie tracker for those starting on the weight loss journey...
    Including the thread title in the meta description does it have any impact on SEO?

    I would suggest that putting the title in the description is probably incorrect and ends up removing more of the actual description. The title is still known and available to the page without it being duplicated in the description.
