I would like to use this add-on for creating new threads in a certain forum for each new Wordpress blog post.
Is it possible to disable most or all of the other features if you don't need them? For example the login to WP via xenforo and the user account sync? I would prefer to login to WP via WP with a separate WP account not associated with XF. I would also like to keep the two user databases separate from each other.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I have both WP and Xenforo in two diff db, I keep WP for the admin usage to post articles, banners, etc. along with showing the LATEST posts, using a the addon - "WordPress get the Lastest Forum Posts." So you can definitely have two different logins and db.

I just purchased this plugin with high hopes.
First attempt - I created a new Page and in the settings picked the "XenForo Forums" for it to link to. And I got this error:
Which I guessed is because I disabled that particular forum from "Member posting" - i.e. only I as admin should be posting to that particular forum.
Changing the permissions in XenForo for that particular forum to "Allow new messages to be posted in this forum" by any user, seems to fix this issue.
But I do not want any member to post to this forum. Only me.
Are you able to fix this?
PS: Yes I am logged in as the same admin user etc

Thanks for your reply Kintaro. Yes the permissions are all correct as far as I can tell. The same logged in user can create the new post when in Xenforo. And the same user will indeed create the new thread in XenForo when creating a new blog post in WordPress - if the permissions are loosened. I think this is something for the author of the add-on to look into a bit deeper. The user in question is an admin in both WordPress and XenForo...

I have not tested this configuration but don't see why it wouldn't work. Try the trial version first to see if things connect.

I ordered this add-on and got this this message:

I replied to your PM. This is correct that you couldn't download a product because there is no matching account on Tux Reports. People who order the product, and use a different email address and username from the Tux Reports account, have to manually be matched through a guessing game of sorts.
Spammers over the summer led to PayPal blocking automatic upgrades on the site. I don't blame them. It was a record of over 1.2 million "requests" ... sales are great - but not that great !
Regarding my health, I'm feeling better. Thank you all for allowing me to get my blood pressure under control. It hit 199/135 at the peek and the doctor was very clear -- get it under control or die. The emergency room visit -- lots of oxygen and slaps to my ego drove me to make changes. The cardiologist stated the heart is not damaged. Treadmill results support that my heart is fine. Sadly medication initially put me to sleep as a side effect. June disappeared. The doctor changed things in July but quite frankly my brain was blurred most of the month.
Luckily Gracie stepped forward. She has done a great job. She's been very overwhelmed because of the numerous requests for support, which is usually time consuming (4-5 hours a day). I owe her lots of hugs and thanks. She's not a coder but actually started opening files - love her for it. She even started making suggestions on how to change things.
It's early morning here. I have to get to work. @Waizi2 -- please reply to Gracie on Tux Reports with your user ID and email you used for the order. She'll fix you up.

When a customer subscribes to a monthly recurring membership subscription on Wordpress will they automatically be registered and logged into the Xenforo Forum?
If not, can you modify it to work that way?
