Gotta be honest. This looks like it would work if you are using a forum as a CMS, but for your regular users, which generate most content on regular forums.... what are they going to see, do, think about it? They won't care. They just post up regular ol' threads.

If there is a regular large forum running this please let us know, I'd like to see it on a live real site.

Hey ekool, thanks for taking the time to look — but I think there might
be a misunderstanding about what the addon actually does. Let me clarify.

SEO Pack isn't a UI feature for end-users. The vast majority of what it
ships does its work invisibly, on every page render, with zero input
from anyone — including the admin after the initial setup. Regular users
posting "regular ol' threads" is exactly the use case it's built for.

Here's what runs automatically on every thread your members post,
without them seeing or doing anything:

- 8 JSON-LD schema types emitted into <head> — Organization, WebSite +
SearchAction, BreadcrumbList, CollectionPage (forum + category),
DiscussionForumPosting (with full comment[] array, image extraction,
interaction stats), ProfilePage, FAQPage. These are what get your
threads into Google's rich-result panels — discussion forum
thumbnails, "people also ask" boxes, sitelinks search.

- Full OpenGraph article metadata on every thread —
articleublished_time, article:modified_time, article:author,
article:section, article:tag[]. Twitter Cards too. So when anyone
shares a thread on Facebook, X, LinkedIn, or Discord, it shows a
real preview card instead of a bare URL.

- IndexNow auto-ping — every new visible thread triggers an instant
Bing/Yandex crawl ping. No waiting for the next sitemap cycle.

- Sitemap enhancement — lastmod (from last-post date) + priority
(log-scaled from reply/view counts) on every thread. Search engines
prioritise crawling your active threads.

- 4 Core Web Vitals features — deferred Google Analytics, CLS guard
CSS, preconnect hints, conditional lightbox JS strip. Your LCP, INP,
and CLS scores measurably improve. None of your users see this.
They just notice the forum loads faster.

- Quality Gate — auto-noindex for thin/low-engagement threads based on
configurable thresholds (replies, views, word count, age). Stops
zero-content threads from diluting your domain authority.

- Coexistence guards — strips duplicate JSON-LD, deduplicates robots
meta tags, removes empty H1s. Theme-agnostic. Runs on every page.

The two user-facing UI bits (SERP preview + word counter above the
editor) are probably 3% of what the addon ships. They're optional — you
can turn them off in admin and the rest still works.

The "is there a real large forum running it" question is fair for any
day-1 release. SEO Pack is being launched today (May 1, 2026). The
codebase is the same one that's been in production on xenvibe.com
since launch, so I can speak to that, but obviously that's a small site.
The launch coupon SEOLAUNCH5 is there so the first 5 buyers can put it
on their real forums and report back — that's how every addon at v1.0
gets its first real-world data.

Happy to answer any specific question about a feature or how it'll
behave on a particular forum setup.

@zenvibe
Hi,
I wanted to try the plugin using a coupon, but the price is always charged through PayPal at the full price. Even though the promo code is applied and clearly shows the price as $59, PayPal still asks me to pay $79.

I also have a question: when sharing a link on social media, which image is used — an image from the post, if one is available, or the default stock image selected in the PWA?

It is very frustrating when the same image is always shared, even though there are many images in the topic. As a result, all posts on Twitter and other social networks appear with the exact same image.

Hi Line,
On the og:image question — PWA defaults aren't involved at all. SEOPack resolves the share image in this order, stopping at the first hit:
  1. Per-thread override — Thread Tools → Meta → og:image (SEOPack adds this field). Always wins if set.
  2. First eligible image in the OP — [IMG] or [ATTACH], JPG/PNG/WEBP only, minimum 200 px wide. SVG/ICO/GIF/TIFF are skipped because Google rejects them in structured data.
  3. Thread author avatar (192×192).
  4. Site-wide default — xvseo_default_og_image in Admin → Options → XenVibe SEOPack.
  5. Site logo — xvseo_org_logo_url.
  6. Nothing emitted if none of the above exist.
Replies aren't scanned, only the OP — that's deliberate.
If the same image keeps appearing on every share, one of these is happening:
  • The OPs contain no inline image, so SEOPack falls through to the avatar or your site-wide default (the most common cause).
  • Every OP starts with the same banner/logo image — that gets picked up as the first eligible image.
  • Twitter has the URL cached. Run it through the Twitter Card Validator to bust the cache.
Two quick controls:
  • To pin a specific image for one thread without editing the OP — Thread Tools → Meta → og:image.
  • If real images in your OPs are being skipped, the usual cause is the Image probe option (xvseo_image_probe_enabled) — your CDN may be returning a non-image/* Content-Type. Toggle it off and re-validate the URL on Twitter.
On the PayPal/coupon issue — that's fixed now. PayPal was being handed the pre-coupon total; the cart now sends the discounted amount through. Please give it another try and let me know if the right total comes through on your end.
Best,
XenVibe

Maintenance update — July 26, 2026

XenVibe SEO Pack remains actively supported. I have resumed active maintenance and started a full compatibility and quality review against XenForo 2.3.12.

The review covers schema generation, coexistence and deduplication, controller/entity/listener extensions, IndexNow, Core Web Vitals helpers, template changes, clean installation and upgrade paths, and the automated test suite. I will publish the maintenance release after these checks are complete rather than upload an unverified placeholder build.

Existing customers can continue to report issues and compatibility questions in this discussion or through XenVibe support. Progress and the verified release will be posted here.

How come it got released with a 80 dollar price tag on the first of May and already got labeled 'unmaintained'. Has anyone every benefited from this add-on? Any statistics?

Their website isn’t even working — I still can’t access the purchased content, and I’m starting to worry. I recommend waiting until the situation clears up.
That really is not okay. Hope it gets resolved quickly for you.

An update, and an apology that is owed here publicly.
@smmforum was right. He bought SEO Pack on 18 August and could not download it. That was not a misunderstanding on his side — our download system had stopped releasing files entirely. He has his file now and has confirmed the add-on is running, but he should never have had to post in this thread to get an answer.
What happened. Two faults, and the second is why the first went unnoticed for so long. On 4 August a control in our download-preparation system was left in a validation-only state: it kept preparing files correctly and never released them, so every purchase after that sat on "available within 15 minutes" indefinitely. Separately, our support system had stopped sending email notifications for ticket replies, so customers who wrote to us got answers on the site that were never emailed out. From their side we looked like we were ignoring them.
The outage lasted 15 days and affected 7 customers. Our own monitoring reported the job as successful the whole time, because it was completing normally while rejecting every file it was handed. That is a failure to catch, not bad luck.
Where things stand. Both faults are fixed at the root. Every affected order has been delivered. We contacted all 7 customers directly rather than waiting to be chased — five of them had not complained at all and did not know we knew.
@jul — your question was fair. The resources were marked Unmaintained and the last updates here were months old. That label was accurate and it was on us. It is being corrected properly rather than with a version bump: XenCards 2.0.0 shipped today, rebuilt and verified against XenForo 2.3.12, and the Unmaintained prefix is off that resource because the work behind it is real.
SEO Pack specifically: the new release is built and in final testing. I expect it available within two days at the most, and it will be posted here when it is. Existing customers get it as a free update.
@smmforum offered to delete his posts in this thread. We asked him not to. What he wrote was true when he wrote it, and removing it would tell you nothing useful about how we handle a bad week.
If anyone here is still affected, reply or open a ticket and you will get an answer the same day.

Thank you for communicating! I’ll keep an eye on this addon as it seems very interesting. Just wondering the real effect of using it. So hoping people will post their experience ❤️

I deleted my post right after I wrote to you — I didn't wait for a reply. I work in DevOps myself, and I know how much damage a single user post can do to a product, so I took it down on my own.

You have a great add-on that's only starting to grow, and I'd rather help it grow than get in the way. For anything that doesn't work for me, the ticket system is the right channel, and that's what I'll use from now on.

To be straight about why I posted publicly in the first place: right after the purchase I noticed the account was newly registered, and with no download and no reply coming, I got worried. The post was there to protect other buyers in case something turned out to be wrong. Once it was clear everything was fine, I stepped back and let you get on with your work.

Meanwhile, I’ve already compiled a list of what I found in the add‑on and will send my suggestions as a ticket.

SEO Pack 2.0.0 is out. It is live on xenvibe.com now and it is a free update for everyone who already owns it — the download in your account already points at it.

First the part I owe you: in #9 I said two days at the most. It has been five. The delay was the release pipeline, not the code — the same download-preparation system behind the August outage needed one more fix before I was willing to push a build through it. I would rather be three days late than hand you a release I could not verify came out the other end intact. That is an explanation, not an excuse. The date was mine to keep and I missed it.

What is in 2.0.0 — 47 files changed against 1.0.0:

  • Rebuilt and verified against XenForo 2.3.12.
  • PHP 8.0+ is now an explicit requirement in addon.json instead of an assumption.
  • The custom /robots.txt handler was rewritten as a listener. It no longer depends on a server rewrite rule, which is what made it silently fail on some setups.
  • IndexNow: automatic key generation and key validation, so a missing or bad key surfaces in the ACP instead of failing quietly against Bing.
  • New Debug Log page in the ACP — you can see what the add-on emitted on a given page instead of reading the source to find out.
  • Fixed the conditional lightbox optimisation, which could strip the lightbox JS on pages that still needed it.

@jul — your two questions.

The label. It is coming off, but one resource at a time as each one actually ships, not in a single afternoon because it reads better. XenNanoPro, XenDynamicList, XenTimelinePulse and XenGlassmorphism are going through the same 2.0.0 rebuild right now and the prefix comes off each of them when the build is live, not before. Link Monetizer has not been rebuilt yet, so it keeps the label until it is.

The statistics. I do not have any, and I would rather say that than invent them. The customer base is small and no buyer has published a before-and-after. What I can point you at does not require trusting me: everything the add-on emits is visible in your page source, and any schema it produces can be pasted into Google's Rich Results Test and validated in about a minute. If anyone running it wants to post their real numbers here, good or bad, I will not touch the thread.

@smmforum — 2.0.0 is on your account now, no extra charge. Send the suggestions whenever you are ready; they will get read properly.

Also live today: XenFocus 2.0.0 (free style) and XenCards 2.0.0, both rebuilt against 2.3.12.
