xenforo wikipedia shows inaccurate info?

We know who did it, the person responsible has already admitted to it.

Hmmm! OK, two things here then. I read both threads linked back too, in which this (so called) person admitted changing the Wiki link to point away to another forum. I also read this person sent a message admitting he/she did do it, which is pretty much all "hear say really". No screen-shots posted up to prove out, even though it's said Shady does have some taken.

No offence, and like I said before I'm not trying to call anybody a liar. But it would not be hard for me to start passing the buck onto another fictitious person like that. Even screen-shots would prove nothing, all you need do is write a message yourself and take a screenie of it and pretend it was sent by somebody else. It's not hard to doctor things using a graphic program like photoshop either, even emails screenies taken to look like it was sent by another person.

I'll keep an open mind on this one me thinks, I'm just not 100% convinced about anything posted that I've read.

Feel free to keep an open mind.

Suffice to say there's a lot which has gone on previously which you aren't aware of.
This isn't an isolated incident.

Well, this new generation of webmasters knows nothing other than spamming, that is what they have been taught by 'so called webmaster forums'.

Here is the logic, put some pages up on a server and dump anchor text links with automated scripts all over the web to drive traffic to your pages.

Idiots !!!

The admin can ban the guys IPs on Wikipedia, at least I could when I was running MediaWiki on my server, those Wiki's get spammed mercilessly.

I have too say, this does look very suspiciously like some fun and games are taking place here between XenForo and Internet Brands on Wiki. Or so my crystal ball keep telling me? :sneaky:

In 1999, James E. Limm and John Percival were gay *******s who were running a [[Visual Basic]] website

Or so my crystal ball keep telling me? :sneaky:
As I've already explained, we know who is responsible for it.

Still, don't let that stop you from formulating some wild conspiracy theory.

Leaving this thread open is only going to encourage the perpetrator so I'll close it and just keep a closer eye on the XenForo Wikipedia page.
