Yeah, SFS only get's about 1 in 6 spammers.....
I'm waiting for the super-duper fuzzy logic programmable spam finder.......
Actually, google is very good at Spam detection - they should allow an API to check against their records....
I use manual activation - because fuzzy logic is needed to ID spammers.
It would be interesting, however, to be able to program the membership sign-up in various ways. For instance, I tend to allow most US and Canadian registrations, as well as those from many cable and other ISP's (verizon, etc.). On the other hand, folks who register late at night (US Time) tend to be from China or India and are spammers (in my case).
So even a simple "let them in without manual activation IF" type of rule would help me.
