Xenforo enhanced search

Hey,

How many of you guys use and don't use the 'xenforo enhanced search'?

Is it a necessity?

If you don't use it, can you post a link to your site so I can see how it looks without it?

Plenty of forums don't use it; it's a specialized system that not every forum needs. Without it, the sites look the same, they just don't have a resources tab.

Enhanced search is only really needed for larger installations, and can be added post purchase. Users won't see any difference in searching, because the add-on is entirely a backend change.

Enhanced search offers a variety of improvements over the default mysql search, however requires a VPS or server to install the Elasticsearch background service.

If you are a new or small board, the default search will do you fine

Ha! I had the same question. Thanks for the info about the Enhanced Search.

I'm using it on a medium sized site.

Search results are faster, and the stemming analyzer means you can get more meaningful search results back.
