XenForo Emoji Performance Optimization - Eliminates JoyPixels CDN latency by serving emojis from your own domain via Cloudflare Workers.

Does anyone know if this works with the 2.2 versions?
Hi,

It works on any XenForo version where you can set a custom emoji “Host from location” / base URL (including XF 2.2). The logic is entirely outside XenForo. Just make sure the JoyPixels asset path used in the Worker matches the emoji set/version your installation expects.

Tamer updated XenForo Emoji Performance Optimization with a new update entry:

Guide update

The main guide has been updated.

This update includes:
  • A safer and more cache-aware Cloudflare Worker example.
  • Request method and emoji path validation.
  • Explicit Cloudflare cache TTL handling.
  • Immutable browser caching for better repeat-load performance.
  • Improved 404 and 5xx cache behavior.
  • Repeated real-world TTFB measurements against the direct jsDelivr/JoyPixels route.
  • Additional clarification that this setup does not mirror or redistribute JoyPixels...
