Xenforo and Wordpress

I am looking to merge my xenforo forum on TheVideoGameForum.com with my Wordpress blog on GameNTrain.com. I want to continue running wordpress for the blog portion of the site and use Xenforo for the forum page of the site. Is this possible and if so, where can I find info on the how to?

Doing what you suggest will make the site run on the Xenforo software. I am looking to have the site run with wordpress and simply have xenforo run the forum content. Is this possible?

It's possible.
But there are no addons that do it.
Your suggestion is a good idea and frequently requested.

Do you want any interaction between XF and WP? Login integration? In which direction?

It is easy to run both applications side-by-side without any integration. But if you need something like login integration then an addon is required. For example:

Not much success finding out if Wordpress can be how I control my site with a Xenforo forum only working on the forum page. It has to be able to be done. All other forum services work that way such as dreaded vBulletin and PHPBB
