Question regarding Permission priority.

I have Basic Member and VIP Member Groups.

The Basic Member Group, has as Message count limit: 5



Vor the VIP Member Group, has as Message count limit: 0



When a user upgrades from Basic to VIP, the user is then in the Basic + VIP as secondary group.
However, as a VIP user, he still gets the Message Count Limit of 5.
How can this be prevented, so that the VIP user has a Message Count limit of 0?
