Admins can already do this by examining the forum database on the server. Mods like this one just make it slightly easier. I do not have this mod installed currently and I'm not sure if I will in the future, but years ago, I had a similar mod when my forums ran on vB 3.8. I never used the mod unless I had to resolve a dispute amongst some forum members - at which time, the mod was quite valuable.

There is an administrator permission to limit the use to certain admin.

Depending on how the administrator will use it in certain cases it can be useful in.

Just curious about support for XF 2.3. I was thinking of getting the add-on but we're also on the cusp of doing our 2.3 upgrade.

It could be useful if there was a navigation item for DMs and they are all listed under that for admins or moderators see, a bit like another forum node.
