Recalculation for the new year 2026 seems partly delayed: 10,5 hours into the new year
The dates are calculated based on the server time zone; this may be the cause of the delay

@Painbaker : Calculation of messages seems to be out of line, too. Currently the 2026 stat claims:

The monthly overview for 2026 is however off the track and shows messages from today in future months:

Not really, as the other statistics were updated for 2026 whis the thread views were not until today. However, I updated to 1.4 and what shall I say: Sorry to be annoying but: Another release, another bug with thread views:

Now the 2025 thread views went down from 3.500.000 to 560.000 (which clearly is too low) and claim those would be a rise of 560.000 (so 100%) towards 2024. Same goes for earlier years. It seems that the number that is displayed is possibly only the difference to the year before rather than the absolute number of thread views for the year.

@Painbaker : Any chance for a reaction to or even a quick fix of the thread views issue? It is somewhat embarrassing to announce a shiny statistic for the past year to my users and then it shows numbers that change massively, are dramatically wrong and dramatically too low:

2024:

2025:

2026 (one week in):

As said before something seems to badly wrong in the calculation and display of the numbers as well as the calculation/display of the growth. Basid on my Matomo stats the number of page views I had was:

2024: 1,40 Mio
2025: 1,47 Mio
2026: 23k

Obviously this is not identical to thread views but should be develop relatively similar and the difference in thread views between 2024 and 2025
does clearly not allign. The numbers displayed before the latest update (to 1.1.4) were different and made more sense to me regarding the difference in between years. However, for 2025 it stated 3,5 Mio thread views which seems not probable as well given the number of page views for the year (even taking into account that a percentage of users may block Matomo) .

As mentioned earlier, this statistic is based on XenForo’s incrementally updated thread view counter. XenForo does not store historical view logs, so thread views cannot be calculated accurately retroactively. As a result, rebuilding this statistic for past years will include current views of older threads.

Thanks! So basically with thread views we have the choice between:

a) display the total number of views only for threads that have been created in the selected year (no matter when the views happened, as a consequence the number of views, displayed for a certain year, will continue to rise in the following year). The small green/red indicator will display the same number, so is somewhat pointless.
b) display the aggregated total number of views for all threads started up to the selected year since the forum was started, no matter when they happened. This will also continue to continuously when older threads are viewed in later years.. The little red/green indicator is always green and will display the total number of views for threads created in the selected year, no matter when they happened.

What we cannot get is

c) the total number of thread views that happened within the selected year, no matter in which year the viewed thread was started.

a) and b) are both a bit pointless as a KPI as they are not limited to a certain year (which is the whole idea of the statistic) and they are misleading, as they keep continuously changing, give no foundation for a comparison in between years, do not show the activity within a certain year and - even worse - the labeling indicates intuitively the number would refer and be limited to a certain year.
C) would be the proper way to count and deliver a helpful KPI that also could be compared to other years, but we cannot have c) due to limitations within how XenForo counts thread views internally.

Sad news! So I will probably exclude thread views from the displayed recap as it is a number, but one that does not deliver any useful insights but rather creates totally wrong conclusions as innocent viewers would assume c) was displayed while in fact it is a vastly different number.
