Wiredtree.com didn't accept a customer under ddos attack?

You are not under a ddos attack. Cloudflare does not protect you from a ddos no matter what they say. You still have registrations on and your server sends out e-mail verification e-mail when someone tries to register and that reveals your server IP because cloudflare does not handle your mail.

Cloudflare can ******** as much as they want about what they offer but the reality is far from what they claim.

How did you come to the conclusion that your website is under attack?

Knownhost support say's it.

If you have trouble dealing with wiredtree then get in touch with zac on WHT (search for "wiredtree zac" and send him a personal message) He is a very helpful guy. Wiredtree however do not offer ddos protection to the best of my knowledge but you really need to find out first what the problem is with your site if there is one indeed.

Did they tell you what the size of the attack was? Did they provide you any logs?
What did you have with them? A vps or a dedicated? If you were on shared then you might just be using too many resources.. some hosts find it convenient to tell customers that they are under attack when they want to chuck you out (not saying knownhost must have done that).

Whilst Wiredtree didn't accept you as a customer, that is their right to do so. It wasn't like you "were" an existing customer. Jumping hosts to mitigate targeted attacks on your site is an issue that ultimately the host is taking on, not you personally. I understand it would be frustrating for you, but I don't think Wiredtree are at fault in any of this.

My experience with Wiredtree was exceptional whilst at an in-between for my own services needed, utilizing their hybrid.

Was with WiredTee for a while but after a good start, started to have many problems, of which WT couldn't or wouldn't do anything about. Eventually had to leave.

Just hope the DDoS attacks don't bring down Mike's server which would knock out quite a few Xenforo users here.
Is Mike aware that you're under DDoS attacks?

Just out of curiosity, what type of DDoS is it, and how strong?
KnownHost Support just said that.
When I monitor my server via ssh (htop) they take all my RAM and CPU.
Apache cannot handle the request anymore, mysql database tables got corrupted every transaction on my site.

Not very, he got hit again about an hour ago, attack was an average of 25mbps with peak of 40mbps. Only effected his site and not to the point to knock it offline. Attack was mitigated by the data center within 5 minutes and his IP is back down to around 1.3mbps now.

You're talking about Knownhost here, who are significantly larger and more respected than WiredTree. I hardly think they would lie to a customer, telling them they are having a DDoS. It's not exactly something you can get away with without someone noticing you're lying.

The OP most likely is/was having a DDos attack. In which case, no sane host will willingly allow that on their network until its cleared up, even then you're likely going to be on their watch list. WiredTree did the right thing rejecting the order.

I'd have told the op to bugger off, especially since his forum is full of warez (Also reported him for linking to a warez site in his signature)

Mike: I'd ditch this client ASAP, If you've got him on your GoRack servers they will drop you like a lead balloon.
