XF 1.2 Wipe Import Test

Hi All,

Please excuse the novice question...

I managed to successfully import vB 4.2 to my test XF 1.2. (Speaks volumes for XF, well done for making is so straight forward!)

This was a trial run. I will now asking my host to migrate my account to another server, so I'm needing to wipe/delete test import to then allow me to repeat the process.

Could anyone kindly advise the best way to remove the previous import to as it was prior to the import? (I'm wanting to keep style and some config on the XF installation)

You should have taken a backup before you did the first test import.

I did - this bit I don't understand;

Once you have done the import, if you wish to redo it, simply drop all of the tables from the database and import the clean master backup.

... I don't suppose you can point me anywhere that explains that a little bit more?

If you have a clean back up which you took before the import, log in to phpMyAdmin, click on the databsae, select all of the tables and drop (delete) them.
Then import the clean backup SQL database.
Finally delete all the avatars and attachments from /data and /internal_data and you will be back to where you were before the test import.
