Will 'space' or punctuation mark (*,</-_ etc) or glyph in username cause something bad ?

Will 'space' or punctuation mark (*,</-_ etc) or glyph in username cause something bad to XF forum?

I've noticed some VB Forums that limit the usage of those (space, punctuation mark, glyph) containing username.

Might it be in keyword searching difficulties or anything else ?

As regards commas in particular - they are used as separators in, for example, lists of recipients for Conversations, and so on. They may be similarly used elsewhere, less obvious. So I'd have to guess they may cause some errant system behaviour.
