It would also be interesting if the author of the first post could upload attachments (not the rest of the editors), from what I read in the addon description it is not possible now. Not being able to upload attachments greatly limits the use of the wiki.

Due to XenForo not having a mechanism to revert a deleted attachment, I preferred not to give users the permission to manage an attachment. Yes, but I see in some forums that they have attachments, I want to make sure before buying if it has that feature or not.

Road map​

This addon is currently being used in my own community and it's actively being developed. The idea is to improve this addon even further with new features and integrations.

The first goal in my roadmap is to start developing support for XenForo 2.2 Thread Types as soon as Beta 1 is released but there's more ideas I would love to implement very soon:

• Create a new [WIKITOC] bbcode to include a Table of Content
• Link related WikiPosts across your community
• Allow any post from a thread to be marked as a WikiPost
• Report an edition to the WikiPost
• Display the most active Wikis in the last day/week/month/year
• Protect the Wiki from editions - preapprove a change or limit the users that can edit certain WikiPost.
• Paginate the WikiPost History since it can get pretty big in a short period of time.

On the test wiki post of @JulianD's forum, there's a button to upload attachments, but it gives an error. Is this because the addon doesn't allow it? I wonder why, if so, it would be better to hide it so as not to confuse users.

We've been using this addon with SES. We're looking at upgrading to XF 2.3 but seems this addon isn't supported/updated.

Are there alternatives? What are people doing that have been relying on this addon to use SES that also want to upgrade to XF 2.3?

I asked the mod caretaker and he has no plans on updating or supporting.

Dragonbyte mail has the same feature.

1.1.1 - Small bug fix

Small bug fix to the Pending Edit feature. Now it only allows one pending edit per WikiPost (before it allowed one pending edit per WikiPost per user, which could be confusing and lead to data loss).

Ok, I feel like this might just be a stupid oversight on my part. Just upgraded to XF 2.3. Upgraded Wikipost to 1.1.1.

People are saying new Wikiposts don't show the edit button. Old ones do.

As admin, of course I see the edit button. But I logged in under a test account.

Analyzed:

We limit Wiki editing to users with > 20 posts, so if you create and account right off, it won't let you edit. But my test user is in the right user group.

There is an edit button for threads created before the upgrade.

There was a bug in the creator service that was setting the protection data to false, and hence not allowing anyone to edit new WikiPosts. You need to update to the 1.1.2 version and disable and reneable the WikiPost threads for the right data to be saved. Alternatively, as an administrator, go to the Protect WikiPost on affected threads, make sure that the option is set to "Anyone with the appropriate permissions" and hit save. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
